About - President's Message

Looking back on the history of Kent M. Lim & Company, Inc., I am amazed by how far the company has grown from a small sheet metal shop to a fully equipped fabrication facility. Our company’s reputation for consistent high quality is largely due to the dedicated craftsmen who have worked with me since day one.

As much as the Company has accomplished from building mechanical systems for high-tech laboratories at Genentech to the seismic retrofit of City Hall, I have no intention of resting on our laurels. There have been exciting developments during the last years; the company has:

• Expanded our fabrication operation in Oakland to meet the piping needs of our clients
• Recruited the most talented estimators, project managers, and superintendents to lead the Company to another level
• Committed company resources to adopt cleaner, more efficient methods, equipment, and vehicles as a part of our pledge to help conserve our earth’s resources

Recently, my daughter told me that she met a project manager employed by the City and County of San Francisco. When my daughter mentioned the Company, the project manager stated she, “loved working with Kent M. Lim & Company, Inc. They are one of the good guys.” When my daughter relayed this, I was thrilled to know that our Company values of acting with integrity and treating others fairly and with respect have enabled us to nurture positive relationships with our clients.

Although we have been in business for over two decades, I am committed to continually improve the quality of our services. I still think of Kent M. Lim & Company, Inc. as the new kid on the block—the smart new kid on the block.
